Work-linked training: a passport to employment for young people

A real asset for :

  • gradually integrate into professional life;
  • benefit from specific support at school and in the workplace, to develop their professional skills;
  • achieve financial autonomy thanks to a contractually fixed salary and the financing of schooling by the company;
  • give your career a boost (as a recent graduate, you have two years’ experience under your belt);
  • find a job at the end of the contract.

Work-study arrangements

Who can benefit from a work-study contract?
There are two types of work-study contracts:

Apprenticeship contract:
Young people aged 16 to 29 continuing their studies
Age limit extended to 31 and over in certain cases (disability, setting up a business, etc.)
Must have the level required for the chosen training course

Professionalization contract:
Young people aged 16 to 25 on signing the professionalization contract (26 years minus 1 day)
Jobseekers aged 26 and over, recipients of RSA, specific solidarity allowance or people who have benefited from a unique integration contract.

Both contracts are open to people with disabilities.

How do you go about finding a company?

You must take and pass the admission tests and validate your enrolment in the program. We present your application to our network of partner companies and help you to make your personal search and application more effective.

We take care of the administrative side of your application right up to the signing of the work-study contract.

When can I start my sandwich course?

Unless an exception is granted (article D. 6222-19 of the French Labor Code), the apprenticeship with a company must begin no earlier than 3 months before and no later than 3 months after the start of the CFA cycle in which the apprentice is enrolled.
In the case of a professionalization contract, the contract with the company can begin at the earliest:
1 month before the 1st day of training and no later than 1 month after.

How long is the apprenticeship contract?

The apprenticeship contract signed with a company can be for 12 or 24 months, depending on the length of the course chosen
A non-renewable 2-month trial period is included
The contract can be renewed once with the same company to prepare for a higher diploma level.

What is the work-study schedule?
A work-study program is punctuated by periods at the company and periods of classes at CCCLX: 1 week at school / 3 weeks at the company.

Your training is financed by your host company and/or by the professional branch to which your company belongs.
